Re: Biggest tyre on 15” wheels?

Hi Daniel, it’s been a long time. Yeah the Wedgies and the Withys have 16” , but I don’t want to do that.

We are heading to Morocco, so I’d like a bit more rubber between me and the road, but not at the expense of the van touching the tyres.

Biggest tyre on 15” wheels?

Hi guys, what is the biggest AT tyre I can fit on 15” wheels on a Syncro with no additional lift and without them touching the wheel arches or trailing arms. We currently have 215/75r15, but could I get away with 225/75r15 or 235/75r15? Do BFG even make them?

Re: Flooring

I use a generic non Aldi version and they are great, even when winter camping in Norway. Only thing I found is that warm direct sunlight makes them expand and they flex up from the floor. No biggie, just something to note.

Re: That Syncro look....

General Grabber AT3 215/75r15 will give you that. Well behaved on road, good performance on dirt and grass.

Re: tyre preasure

Yup, sell on those horrors and get some proper wheels and tyres. Mefro 15” steeliness with 215/75r15 ATs from your favourite maker (BFG, General Grabber, Coopers, Michelin). I run ours on 38psi all around, although some run the rears a little higher than the fronts. I air down off road and air up wh...

Re: Spark plug gap for 2.1 DJ?

Depends on the plugs. And the coil. Could be 0.8mm, or 1mm, or triples are preset. 0.7mm is right for a DG, unless it's not. Spark plug gap for 2.1 DJ?

Hi guys, my Doka isn’t starting well, despite turning over strongly and there being fuel. I have a set of new plugs and leads to fit, as I have no idea how long they’ve been on. Question: what is the correct plug gap please?

1988 2.1 DJ Syncro.

Re: Fiamma vs Arb awning

Our ARB has taken some punishment - wind and heavy rain. The fold out arms to bend if put under enough pressure and are hard (impossible) to get straight enough to telescope back in. But replacement arms are available. If enough water has pooled on top, it will leak along the seam, but so far it alw...
