The oil pressure light only flickers if you stop after a while at full throttle (services on m6 after climbing shap, or when towing) otherwise fine. An extra year out of this engine would give me longer to say recon another dg, hence oil cooler question.

Hello everyone, just after some opinions ! My 1.9dg runs beautifully on lpg or petrol, sounds like a sewing machine and will cruise at 65 or 70 if you need to. The only issue is the low oil pressure. When fully hot it gets about 10psi per 1000rpm, so the oil light flashes on tick over when very hot....

Mine has a similar jet but in the tank return line I assume it is to make sure enough fuel goes to the carb rather than taking the path of least resistance back to the tank. I have a weber carb and mechanical pump and it works fine and has for years

Machine mart blue tarp, large, waterproof and cheap.

Try fuel iessues next then, petrol filter, carb maybe the idle jet if it drives ok but idles poorly. I assume oil pressure is ok and it doesn't sound like the big ends knocking, just engine judder.

Engine mounts perhaps? Maybe with some tinware knocking also as the engine rocks.

Mine did that when one cv joint was dry. It knocked like someone hitting a bell with a sledgehammer!
