Re: Linkage to reversing light switch
Switch (not GSF type) works when pushed by hand ( finger ).
But when installed rev. lights don't come on when reverse gear is engaged (with ignition on).
Does this mean something mechanical inside the gearbox is awry ?

Have a 1987 LHD Westy 2.1 petrol - now runs on LPG mostly thanks to Gasure Pete. Performance same as petrol, mileage v. similar. About half my mileage has been in UK, rest in France, a bit in Spain. LHD driving in UK is rarely a problem - but a few replacement bits can be harder to find. Anyone got ...

I have a tank under the back seat in a Westy. Not as big as I'd ideally like, but the family verdict was wardrobe and cupboard space too useful too lose. Think I usually get about 80% of tank full - but this varies a lot with temperature. Maybe the real question is availability of LPG fill-ups. Fran...

LPG in Ireland
Are LPG pumps plentiful or scarce on forecourts in Ireland?
Is there a paper map available?
I'm thinking about a tour to include the West Coast.

Flat main battery- charging problem
After several months off the road found my battery was flat as a pancake. Connected up charger but will only accept 1.5 amps on 'high' charge position. After 24 hours on charge failed to turn over starter motor. Am I looking at a new battery ? If so which readily available battery type is recommende...

Getting LPG into under floor 'torpedo' on a Westy
I have a 1987 Westy 'Vanagon' - built for USA. On the feed to the 12 litre leisure LPG tank, slung torpedo style under the van, there is an 'auto stop' valve (made by a firm called AutoStop Corporation of Lynwood, California - previous owner gave me the original maker's leaflet, and said he never us...
