not a perfect match, but the paint on the van was a one off mix so they had to match it up. It was completely rotten.

The bodywork looks great, Tipton Transporters did a fantastic job. Highly recommended

Re: My 1980 air cooled Devon, a work in progress.
MOT passed easily at Tipton Transporters. Van booked in On Monday to get all the bodywork done, I will post some before and after pics. Toby is running lovely and we are off camping this weekend, so glad I decided not to sell.

Re: Air cooled 2000 hot start continual problem
I had this exact problem, thought id try getting a new battery. When i checked the size needed at a Halfords i realised the one that should be in there was double the size. Never had a hot start problem again.

Re: Are heat exchangers necessary?
The exhaust is separate to the exchangers. I used a window vac to suck any condensation off the windows. Kept them clean and dry for whole journey.

Re: Are heat exchangers necessary?
I survived the winter without them, I've not got any on my bus. I decided the van was not used enough in the winter to justify the cost. We just put our coats on to get into the bus and not just as we get out.

Cromer is awesome! Lots to do there! My engine is running fine too 12 months later, started first time every-time even on those frosty winter mornings.

Replacing the cooker in a Devon, what fits?
My cooker in my devon has seen better days, the hob/burners are all rusty and the flame created is pathetic.
Is there an aftermarket camping cooker the same size? Id like to replace it with a new one. Has anyone swapped theres, recommendations please.

Not mine, saw this in a t25 hightop at CamperJam. They had spent THOUSANDS on this custom wood interior.
Just shows you, how good they can look.

Re: Cutting my roof! Roof vent/light fitting
If its a pop top you can't go bigger because there are steel strenghting bars that run either side. I have a brand new fiamma roof vent white you can have for £25. I brought it for mine but was slightly too large. its 390mmx390mmx50mm
