good idea... i'll check all the pipework as i had no leaks with the van.. so there was no issues with me loosing coolant or oil. when i stopped i had no idea why as i had no warning. my temp gauge was fine and i have an override switch for the fan which was on at the time... so i should have had amp...

morning

my only worry about that is the big ends going once i had done the heads. But you know you are right. I seem to be making hard work for myself... especially as im doing this in the street.. (my neighbours love me)

thanks for the help ..

when i put the part number in the search engine it came up as a common head on the 1.9 and 2.1.. is that right?? if so i can broaden my search to the 2.1 too :)

hi well my technical term of let go is as follows.. i was driving down the road doing about 50 when i had a sudden loss of power and with this came a slight lerch. i took my foot off the accelerator and then put it back on and noticed a nice cloud of smoke bellowing out of the exhaust. i pulled over...

hi

its a DG. I have tried to add pictures but it keeps on telling me they picture type is invalid.
to be honest i am not sure on what is concidered big in terms of cracks.
they run straight across the cylinders and one is slightly bigger than the other. the gap is about 0.5 mm
