I don't know cross over dates but the 1st few years then runners changed I believe, all info was on 8090 will try and find links later.

Early ones fit straight in, may need to trim the runners to fit.

I have one fitted way more comfy than original seat

Had a new one fitted April 2014 and only travelled about 9000 miles in that time, what's the interval change times ?

It may stop the water ingress in some cases but in my experience the vast majority get water ingress via the top lip of the rubber where it runs down the A pillars under the rubber until it gets to the bottom, accumulates and festers. Capillary action I guess I've been lucky as its kept water tight...

It's not really a bodge it's more of a fix, I'm happy for you to weld the panel for me and rectify the problem obviously at your expense
