Re: After Market Head Unit

It's quite tight at the back so the longer units may require a surrounding spacer, https://i.imgur.com/ifpJbVo.jpeg spacers are available on the net (sorry no photo). I think there are also head units that have less depth requirements. However, it may still have to protrude a bit to clear the overha...

Also, the van will need to have the replacements...

Re: Adventure Overland Show - last one ever

What ticket do we buy guys. I clean forgot about this and when I've gone to book it's very complicated ? I think you just book the size pitch you need then tell them you are with the 80-90 group when you arrive at the gate (it may be necessary for someone to let them know the numbers beforehand, as...

Re: Inflatable awning?

We have used a couple of inflatable units. https://www.thebeast.blog/?page_id=9696 https://www.thebeast.blog/?page_id=3403 Both are great if the weather is fine but not so good if poor. the larger of the two let the wind and rain in at the base and was very cold wasn't too windy at the time, so we d...

Re: 1988 diesel transporter looking for a new engine.

Hi Guys. Anyone know if the diesel Subaru Impreza GR GH 2.0 D AWD Diesel EE20 EE20Z 150 PS is the correct engine to drop into t25 1988? Trying to hunt a good refurb diesel engine - any suggestions? VWKampers only seem to do petrol. Many thanks in advance. I’ve got one I could sell you, but I wouldn...

Re: Power assisted steering query

Hi,
I think it’s the intercooler or
charge cooler pump (sorry don't know the correct name), photographed from a strange angle.

It had this on the other end of the pipes,

Re: Power assisted steering query

It was fitted when the Subaru EE20 was put in. I don't know if it will be needed for the AHU. however, the rad is available, so it would be a shame not to use it for something. Regards Gary At least the pump had sound-dampening fixings. Main, air-con  & intercooler rads, all sandwiched together ...

Re: Power assisted steering query

Sorry I don’t have many photos of the unit, however, the ones I have of it flited show it attached to plates of steel welded to the subframe (not certain that’s the correct name for it) and the floor the latter of which would have transmitted sound strait into the van. It was also bolted directly t...

Re: Roof cover.

Hi, just a thought. It might be worth getting ½ dozen or more small G claps and some small strips of wood to clamp the sheet to the gutter. https://i.imgur.com/80VYoPV.jpeg sorry, it's a poor sketch but the ideas is there. Re: Power assisted steering query

The Subaru EE20 that was in there didn’t have a hydraulic PSP on it.
The AHU will.
It's only taken 18+ months and counting,
:(  I will ask Tim Mathers (North Devon t4s) if he can send me a photo.

Re: Power assisted steering query

I think I noticed it mostly when stationary and at times, it was annoying, it tended to blend in more ones moving (probably because I was concentrating on other things). I did wonder why it was not in the engine bay as most of the pipework was already in place. Should all be fixed and quiet when I ...

Hi Yes, I have. I have (hade it's being replaced with a hydraulic one with the new engine) an electric pump on a hydraulic factory system which stopped working, made the stirring heavy when slow but not much difference once moving faster. Hope this helps. Regards Gary Electric pump on a hydraulic o...
