Re: Fiamma awning/Sun shade
We have the 3M version fitted to the side of our roof rack. https://i.imgur.com/u0YVet5.jpg It needed to be fitted high enough for the slope of the canopy to clear the front passenger door when opened, also in this case it needs a rain baffle fitted underneath (just a piece of thin plastic board, it...

Re: Best (?) compressor cool box
Hi Michael4 The unit is a coolfreeze CF-40. https://i.imgur.com/VkY5xm5.jpg Sorry label is a bit tatty as it is underneath. https://i.imgur.com/ntE2mYi.jpg A rough idea of the size. https://i.imgur.com/lcDdh9G.jpg https://i.imgur.com/R0eBwLo.jpg The original handle took up to much space so I...

Re: Best (?) compressor cool box
I think I may have seen one of those in the flesh. Does the compressor run when only on 12v? Hi yes works fully on 12v capable of -18c I think the low battery protection is also settable to different levels T he compressor is probably 12v with a built-in transformer for when on 240v. Although that'...

Re: Best (?) compressor cool box
Hi,
We have one of these working well so far, 12vDC & 240vAC.
also has battery protection.

The tape handels are my addition as the original ones were a bit bulky
used the same fixing bolt holes.
Regards Gary

Re: Flooring
It was my idea and mod, but I think others have already done it to their vans before me. Eventually, there will be a second box, but that requires modifying the handbrake linkage rerouting pipework and a cable gear change system, so a work in progress at the moment. There are few photos of the inst...
Re: Flooring
We will be fitting lightweight plywood flooring covered in “Altro Flooring” this stuff is really hard-wearing and is available in different thicknesses, then on top of that, we have a rubber backed removable carpet/mat cut to size. Some of it is done but I can't fit the flooring properly until both...

Re: Inner sill bung holes
I have removed the S from the HTTP hopefully that will work http://www.thebeast.blog/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/IMG_3604-scaled.jpg Bolt will probably need a screwdriver slot, in the end, to hold it from turning the upper disk when tightening. If not https://www.thebeast.blog/?page_id=6946 or http:/...

Re: Inner sill bung holes
I’ve been thinking about this and I think I may have a few holes I probable need to block, but would like to leave them assessable if need be (more jobs for the ever-growing list) I think I may have a workable solution but don’t know until I get the van back (rough sketch below). Re: The ultimate portable T25 tool kit
THE ULTIMATE PORTABLE T25 TOOL KIT :ok In emergencies only. I would not recommend this whatsoever. Yet at the time necessary for removing, cleaning and greasing a driveshaft after it came adrift touring Scotland in 2017 To be honest l reckon it could easily take weight of corner of camper. And bett...

Re: The ultimate portable T25 tool kit
As a jacking platform, I am wounding whether using one of these would work, https://www.thebeast.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Levelling-wedges-1.jpg along with one of these, plus a bit of 10mm ply https://www.thebeast.blog/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Bottle-jack-.jpg possibly get two height option...

Yes, they are our starting point and will certainly be paired down as we learn what is really needed.
For local trips and weekends away, most of it will probably be left at home.
