Re: Best (?) compressor cool box

Hi Michael4        The unit is a coolfreeze CF-40. https://i.imgur.com/VkY5xm5.jpg Sorry label is a bit tatty as it is underneath. https://i.imgur.com/ntE2mYi.jpg A rough idea of the size. https://i.imgur.com/lcDdh9G.jpg https://i.imgur.com/R0eBwLo.jpg The original handle took up to much space so I...

Re: Best (?) compressor cool box

I think I may have seen one of those in the flesh. Does the compressor run when only on 12v? Hi yes works fully on 12v capable of -18c I think the low battery protection is also settable to different levels T he compressor is probably 12v with a built-in transformer for when on 240v. Although that'...

Re: Flooring

It was my idea and mod, but I think others have already done it to their vans before me. Eventually, there will be a second box, but that requires modifying the handbrake linkage rerouting pipework and a cable gear change system, so a work in progress at the moment. There are few photos of the inst...

Re: Shower equipment

Hi, we are using these. https://i.imgur.com/5iRX10j.jpg Reasonable large opening and hold about 12L, available with a solid or pierced screw cap, they also, fit under the rear seat. A little more info here if you can get it to open (sorry still not fixed properly). Don’t know if they're available i...

Re: Flooring

We will be fitting lightweight plywood flooring covered in “Altro Flooring” this stuff is really hard-wearing and is available in different thicknesses, then on top of that, we have a rubber backed removable carpet/mat cut to size. Some of it is done but I can't fit the flooring properly until both...

Re: Sliding door wheel clearance.

I think I have got this right
from talking to Doug anything more than I have extended mine by will need the reassessed area at the end of the runner to be altered (
extended).
Arrows on photos.

Re: Sliding door wheel clearance.

Thanks for the heads up. I have reloaded the photos and changed the link in my signature to https perhaps that will help. I think I might have dragged and dropped some of the photos from my web site so they may still have been linked to it, or more likely it is the link in  signature that is cursin...

Sliding door wheel clearance.

Another job of the to-do list. When I fitted larger wheels on the van, I knew in addition to extending the wheel arches I would also need to increase the clearance between the sliding door and the rear wheel. This has now been done thanks mostly to Doug @ Dougs VW Werks as although I was happy to e...

How about a long spring through two rows of holes. A big version of a notepad hinge?

Re: E30 servo

My clutch pedal is worn and have been putting it off for a '' rainy day '' When in there it would be rude not to upgrade the servo. I think it's straightforward but pedal needs drilling to fit the larger BMW clevis pin ( I think ) I think it’s the hole in the base of the existing clevis pin t...

Re: Inner sill bung holes

I have removed the S from the HTTP hopefully that will work http://www.thebeast.blog/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/IMG_3604-scaled.jpg Bolt will probably need a screwdriver slot, in the end, to hold it from turning the upper disk when tightening. If not https://www.thebeast.blog/?page_id=6946 or http:/...

Re: Inner sill bung holes

I’ve been thinking about this and I think I may have a few holes I probable need to block, but would like to leave them assessable if need be (more jobs for the ever-growing list) I think I may have a workable solution but don’t know until I get the van back (rough sketch below).
