thanks for the info. it's very much like that BUT has no switch on it just a flat plate with screws in it? no lose wires etc? It is at the bottom of the steering colum? the two Vw dealers Ive spoken to say diffrent things, so there not sure? My van is a 1990 deisel, but that should'nt make much diff...

I went to Watling Tyres and they sorted mine out, goes in a straight line and a nice even wear? They use electronic geometry & tracking gear and I was recommended to go there by a garage. Try there web site www.watling-tyres.co.uk not sure if they cover your area.

All I can say if I'm being a good boy and cruising about 60/70 I get 45 to the gallon if I'm naughty as I was coming back from a very rainy Cornwall recently I got 35 to the gallon a lot of difference 60 to down hill strong wind be hind me 80. I run a 19 non turbo.
