Just a quick question, where did you connect the two vacuum gauges to, can’t quite see in the videos? Have you drilled a port on each manifold?

What petrol pump have you got? It could be it's pumping too much pressure which the needles can't control

The needle valve will either be jammed open with dirt or the float isn't working. Causing the carb to flood. Parts 23 and 26 in the previous post picture. Just remove the chokes, don't really need them unless you're using the van in winter. Even then I think you'd be ok without them

Brilliant write up, very informative.
Regarding balancing the carbs. In your video it looks like you're using a motorbike style balancer that needs vacuum take-offs. The standard solexes don't have these ports, did you fit your own? If so where did you drill them?
