Re: T25 Starter Motor Problems - Earth
There seems to be another thread covering the same topic here https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=142475&p=8290525#p8290525 with the title "starter motor problems" I have just posted on that thread having solved the starting problem by using a jump lead to provide a g...

I used the icon labelled "image" and it appeared correctly in preview. I will now use the icon labelled "imgur", whatever that means.

Re: starter motor problems
Thanks for suggesting inadequate earth as the fundamental cause of the starting problem. I have used an old jumper cable. The crimped connector was flattened and drilled to make a spade terminal and that was inserted in the upper Allen bolt mount of the starter motor. The other end was connected dir...

Re: Heater fan not working
Thanks for that. What is the current that the blower takes? Need to get pwm device with sufficient current capacity. Obviously this makes sense instead of hot resistors. Also full voltage pulse is more likely to get motor past any dead spot that might result from worn brushes. Maybe this is what has...

Re: Heater fan not working
This is therapy for me rather than usefulness to the community. I am saddened that my fan motor replaced just over a year ago has failed again. I actually paid the local garage approx £200 for the job of stripping out the dash but the mistake I made was to save money by buying a cheap fan motor. Now...

Re: starting problem: refuses to start sometimes
Thank you everybody for your good advice. The local garage man concurs that the first step should be to change HT leads (never changed in 30 years) and plugs (did change once) so have ordered these parts from JustCampers since they seem to be exact for this 1900 cc with male connectors into the dist...

starting problem: refuses to start sometimes
T25 (F reg) water cooled 1.9 petrol, carburettor. Despite a new battery plus a reserve battery paralleled up, sometimes and usually when the weather is damp the engine will not start. It turns over fast but does not start for a long while then might come to life on one or two cylinders before fully ...

Re: sliding door catch won't close
I have done as you suggested (thanks for that) but squirted mountain bike chain lube down the sides of the latch and I have repositioned the striker post. Seems to work fine on the gentlest of closes now but can't guarantee this will endure. I found this http://campervanculture.com/shop/sliding-door...

Re: starter motor
I get two clicks but sometimes the starter does not turn. The garage has taken out the starter and supposedly sent it for cleaning and having the brushes replaced. However the intermittent problem still exists. Is it possible for the solenoid to click but not actually apply power to the starter moto...

sliding door catch won't close
T25. My sliding door will not stay shut when I close it sometimes. The catch is on the rear side of the door and should engage in a pin fixed to the rear edge of the door frame. When I use a screwdriver to simulate the pin and push it into the catch then I can repeat the problem while seeing what is...

rear bearings - ball or roller
German and Swedish have supplied the inner and outer bearings as both Roller bearings. Taking the old ones off, one is a roller and the other is a ball bearing race. Is it ok to fit the replacement roller bearings? What are the pros and cons of rollers vs ball bearing races?
thanks
