Rusty jubilee clip snapped and all the water poured out. So a trip back the way I came on the back of a recovery truck to a VW garage in...

Re: MOT FAILURE on main beam tell tale light not working ,help
I had the same problem last week. Turns out it was a dead diode and some of the wiring was hacked. So I had a small blue light installed on the dash and connected to the headlamp so when they power on the light comes on on the dash I also put a sticker under it saying H/lamp. Brought it back for ret...

Re: Main beam warning light dead
Thanks Kevtherev don't know why I didn't think to RTFM. Followed your advice but as I said some ham "interfered with" amateur (not me this time) had been in there chopping wires. So as a quick fix for the test I had a blue light connected direct to the headlamp and hey presto it passed the...

However, the blue high beam warning light on the dash is not working (yup failed it on...

Re: Trailer width?
Where are you based, I got a T4 on a transporter from Galway to Kildare for 200 Euro. Also bought a T25 and a friend drove it from Dublin using his garage plates. It's not a problem driving with no tax or DEO if you just bought but you will have to produce them at the cop shop within 28 days. The ma...

Re: Smoke in cab
@syncroandy It would seem the crac handedness was down to me. I had replaced a fuse (yep I forgot) for what I thought was for the blowers as the downloaded Haynes manual suggested, position 13 (unlucky). The manual said it was a 20 amp. That 20 amp fuse is now cremated and replaced with a 30 amp. Ho...
