Re: Advice needed re coolant system by complete novice

Incidentally...minus 15 & minus 20 protection is only the equivalent of 30 & 35% antifreeze mix by strength.....although not a wasserboxer engine the mix still needs to be 40% plus. Martin Cheers Martin - I will ensure that's sorted out, together with it's overdue coolant drain/flush/replac...

Re: Advice needed re coolant system by complete novice

Yes please do post them in here for me. Body and interior are apparently spot on, inspector says. Underneath very, very clean too. It's on eBay. Search VW Westfalia 1.6 turbo diesel high top. It's red. See what he says re: recon engine and replaced parts ... Different seats but both Cakifornia mater...

Re: Advice needed re coolant system by complete novice

He said that he took it from the upper part of the system, not the expansion tank. It definitely looks like grains of a sandy material. Forgive me being vague. Haven't seen a T25s engine area in person yet. Know my Mini's like the back of my hand, lol. This is what the owner messaged me today on the...

Re: Advice needed re coolant system by complete novice

Phew. Thank you all. At least I won't worry about the coolant. I will stick with the blue stuff At work. Typing on a mobile. Can't post photos of sandy residue left in the inspector's beaker as would take too long to work out how to do it or sign up to a hosting site but will find time after work. I...

Advice needed re coolant system by complete novice

I've had a 1991 Westfalia Atlantic 1.6TD inspected. The man who carried out that inspection raised a red flag and I'd appreciate some clarification/guidance from people who know about these matters so, here is the evidence gleaned by him ... He had to drain down alittle water from the upper part of ...

Re: Proper name of part needed please

Thank you. However, I'm having difficulty finding the part on any of those three sites. Duh! If anybody can locate the correct page and post the link on here I could breathe a sigh of relief and walk my dogs who have been watching me searching for hours with expectant faces :?

Proper name of part needed please

Just had a vehicle inspector look at a T25 California. Needs a new long oblong black plastic cover on panel on driver's side below middle window next to hook-up point. What's it called please? Can't find the part anywhere. Any help appreciated :-)
