Thank you. It’s still leaking a tiny bit now I warmed it up so I might replace. Thanks again.

Re: I have an oil leak, what is this bit called?
Hi, yes that’s it. I drained it out, removed and refitted. The seal must have been out of place. The bolts are in a little more than finger tight and so far no leaks. Many thanks.

Re: I have an oil leak, what is this bit called?
I have just drained the oil and removed offending plate. I have a hunch the seal was not seated properly so I am going to refit and try again.

Re: I have an oil leak, what is this bit called?
From the edge. Only thing I tried so far is drive it in tighter but I don’t want to knacker it. In my infinite wisdom I took it out to clean it. I presume removal will require me to empty it of oil?

I have an oil leak, what is this bit called?
Hello dubbers, hope you are all having a fantastic bank holiday working on (or better still driving around) your VW. I have just done an oil and filter change but I have a leak from here: What is this called and where will I find a new seal? I can't see it listed in the Haynes book! http://www.alanp...

12v Leisure - Negative Question
Hi, A quick question about 12v if I may please folks. I am rewiring the leisure electrics and was wondering about if I should bother running negative cables for various items all the way back to the leisure battery, or can I just connect them anywhere on to the can structure? For example, an LED lig...

Re: T25 daunted newbie
Hi bensid, First, congratulations on your purchase. Second, you will not regret it. Hopefully my brief and similar synopsis might help you feel a bit more confident: I also bought a van off eBay without viewing first . I basically bought the cheapest one I could find that had an MOT. I turned up wit...

I have the same thoughts about my steering wheel, no matter how much you wipe it the grime keeps coming away.
I wonder, does anyone know what the magic ingredient in builders wipes as per what2do's suggestion?

I had a similar problem which is all sorted since we replaced the fuel tank and lines. Gunk in them I guess.

Re: Autohomes Kamper Kitchen Window Closure / Lock
Ahh, well found. The fact that the window closes and does not lock does not bother me too much as it is not that obvious from the outside, but if it becomes an issue I might replace it with a slim wooden bar and a decent looking wire hasp or something. Not in a Mr Bean padlock on the outside kind of...

Autohomes Kamper Kitchen Window Closure / Lock
Hello peeps, happy summer! Just wondering if anybody knows where I can get a new plastic closure / lock for this window, or in the absence of that any advice on what to replace it with. I went to open the window today and the movable part of the plastic closer snapped off. I can still open and close...
