Re: Auxilliary Water Pump

It will only run after the engine is switched off to bring the temperature down. Also think it ticks over once or twice on the starter motor when you fire up the engine also, but only to prevent it seizing. D

Have free turned the pump...

Autosleeper Gas Locker

Howdy Have two - Camping Gaz 907- they fit oh so nice but I read that UK stopped these two years ago. Apart from 1)converting the whole van to LPG - think Diesel 2)Commuting to Europe to buy Gas - What fits? Anything? or move where to move bottles to? Just seeing what everyone else has done. I belie...

Re: little pump

Have read up on this as had a similar issue - Have you tried plugging it back in, first thing, on a cold engine? Is the pump running still? Then its going to be the temp sensor me thinks. The 'little' pump turns over with the starter motor to stop it seizing. I believe it only comes on when the engi...

Nice to see the roof on top of a van (and not as the view out of the kitchen window ). From the pics it seems to be moving on nicely, definitely more of a rescue than a restoration :) You'll be out camping in no time if you keep up this work rate, puts me to shame feel like I should go and do someth...

Petrol Smell when driving with drivers window open

perished breather pipes is what enhanced the aroma on our van. Had em all out and replaced the lot. Saves going back. :)

FUEL TANK REMOVAL

Just done mine for the 1st time, using Wiki as a guide. It's pretty simple really, ( I managed it) I'd give it 2 out of 5 spanners  It took 2/3 hours all going well and as you've guessed a fair bit of that on your back on your favourite bit of carpet.

Why does it always rain on me? (and leak into my van!!)

couple of coats of Johnson roof seal paint in your gutters, mask a line first then just paint away. Cured my gutter woes, ( now just for the windscreen / front end / quarter light leaks)

In her sleep I add. Argos , mothercare etc d...
