Where is the chroming business now, i could do with a decent plater, metalmickey. As for the demountable camper there is a demountable club in the uk maybe they could enlighten us, wozza.

I was thinking of connecting the mk3 dash up to the ecu just to see how far out the rev clock is, surely somebody must have an idea how to fool the rev clock.

if thats plaxton the coach builders i drive by the factory every day its in scarborough north yorkshire. i have a single cab pickup and plan to build a demountable camper unit with a pop up roof similar to yours. some one on here might have the answer to yours. wozza

wheel refurb

anybody used wheel em in alloy wheel refurbs in hull, need someone to diamond cut some alloys and clear coat. I am based in east yorkshire and am trying to find someone who will do a decent job. wozza.

have you checked connections in the engine bay fuse box, if they are ok i would check continuity between alternator and dash plug. was the dash working before engine change ?

I am using the alternator from the mk3 golf 1z engine, 70 amp with a two pin connector at the back, one is the dash battery light and the other is for the rev clock. i just plugged it in and it worked but used the short loom from the rear of the alternator to battery from the mk3. are all your conne...

hi, just completed a e tdi conversion in my syncro pickup, it goes very well but as many will know it now has a lower top speed, at 50mph it is around 3500 rpm but my rev counter is not accurate. so while i can afford a gearbox rebuild with longer third and fourth gears i am going to use some 7jx16 ...

cheers for that, has nobody made a gizmo to alter signal from new alternator to fool rev clock? or something along them lines, thanks for the replys.
