Hi,
I need to replace my clutch on a 1.9td. Does the engine have to come out for this or is it possible to just drop the gear box out the way? Also does any one have a rough idea how much labour would be to have this done at a garage? Cheers!

I didn't do it my self but I think he used the one that was still bolted to the new engine. It came out of a Passat. The old engine was a 1.6 cs

Since it was done when I put my foot down in 4th or 5th the engine revs but not all the power is being transferred to the wheels. Cool cheers for that. Yeah it's done 150 000 miles. Hopefully this will get it sorted. It's seems to run fine and has loads more power that my old 1.6.

Ive just realised that the pipe which runs from the breather back into the engine block is missing! Any ideas where i can get one? Cheers
