Thanks Ian, bit sketchy as to the last service (I've just bought it) - I guess a service is my first move.

More Smoke than Alex Higgins!

I've just a acquired a Karmann Gipsy 1.6TD, seems to run and drive fine, but under stress (hill, acceleration etc) it pumps out clouds of black smoke. Any ideas of where I should begin to get rid of this problem?

Many thanks - Tee

Thanks Hammy, I tried that but they didn't have the right size, however, I have tracked one down, the proper Westy one for £100. A bit on the steep side but I'm caught by the short & currlies!!

Cheers - Tee.

Skylight Help!!!!!!!!!!!

While trundling merrily along the M5 on Saturday, at a rather a heroic 75 mph, I heard a loud bang, I assumed something had fallen in one of the cupboards - Hmm, what really happened was the Skylight had flown off!! So apologies if it hit anyone, ouch!! So, as I now have a ruddy great hole in my roo...

Worcester Area Westy's

Having bought my 1984 Westy Joker in September last year I'm still not sure how everything works, fridge, cooker, heater, water, lecky hook-up etc....and I learn by watching. So, any Westy Joker owners in the Worcester area mind if I drop in for a "teach an idiot session?" Alternatively, i...

Cheers, thanks for the tips, it could be blowing in from underneath I guess? Do these skylights often leak?

Leaky Westy Hightop

Hello All,

I'm a Newbie, first post. I've got a Westy Joker Hightop with a very leaky skylight, I've had a good look around it and it seems to seal okay but in this weather leaks like a sieve. Any ideas?

Cheers - Tee
