Re: Change of cylinder capacity on v5, engine number required??

Re: Change of cylinder capacity on v5, engine number required??
Mine has just been bounced back to me, they want some evidence!!! Tossers! They also want the original document for evidence purposes so a copy of the one that I got for the insurance co. isn't good enough for them. I made a legal declaration to them and they then disbelieve me. Rant rant. :o...

Re: Change of cylinder capacity on v5, engine number required??
Just posted mine off - I've just changed to a 1Y, I put the engine No. and cc. I made sure I read it whilst preparing it. Put any old No. in in the form 1Y 705xxx (six digits) (you can always say that you misread it due to corrosion! ) Checked last night and it was unreadable, corrosion being...

Re: Change of cylinder capacity on v5, engine number required??
thanks for the reply, to be honest i'm not worried about the "getting tugged side of it" its simply a case of i suppose lazyness on my part, finding the number on an oil saturated engine(as i was in a rush to get it in so i didnt give it a thorough clean down and was under orders not to co...

Change of cylinder capacity on v5, engine number required??
I have just converted to 1y and was wondering if its a requirement to fill in the engine number section in the logbook?? or if there are any benefits to adding it, other than tracing the engine if stolen??

No leaks. i thought that was the case but removed 1y dipstick, was a tight fit with no seal, then inserted cs dipstick, i have around 3 or 4 mm play at least, so i checked the old hole for a sleeve/...
