Re: AAZ and buzzer of doom.

Also I've just been reading through old posts regarding this subject and found a thread regarding the oil pump, I know that I have the AAZ oil pump still fitted should I have installed the JX one ? would this be causing the problem ?

Re: AAZ and buzzer of doom.

When I had the faulty alternator installed I had no buzzer or light at all ? Forgive me if that would be blatantly obvious but I'm not really up on electrics

Re: AAZ and buzzer of doom.

I have the blue exciter wire and the red/black for the rev counter (which I don't have), I have currently disconnected the red/black as the buzzer was doing me in !

AAZ and buzzer of doom.

AAZ recently installed, 450 miles ago, alternator found to be faulty so changed that, once the new one was fitted I have had the oil light and buzzer going at it. I've just changed the low and high switches to rule them out and taken the dash plug off and cleaned the terminals up but no change :evil...

Re: AAZ Alternator, which wires ?

I have no terminal markings other than the B+ one, I have now wired the blue and red/black to the plug terminal ( bit lacking in space in there) but the battery light is still on ? and its not showing a charge to the battery. Earths are bolted to the top of the water pump and then back to bodywork, ...

Re: AAZ Alternator, which wires ?

Have now found a post on Brickyard that says that the red/black trace wire goes on the pos+ terminal with the thick red to the battery. Also that the blue goes to the plug connector on the side, I have now wired it up and still have a permanent battery light on the dash and no charge going through t...

AAZ Alternator, which wires ?

Just installed an AAZ and need to confirm the wiring to the alternator, I have searched the forum but with no exact answer. I have a large red (+) cable which obviously goes on the large alternator post but then I have a red and a blue wire. The terminals are different to the original JX set up but ...

AAZ Throttle lever stop.

Hi, having just installed a Golf AAZ lump I wasn't overly impressed with the performance and felt that it wasn't accelerating fully and struggled to reach 60-65 mph, taking a look yesterday I backed the throttle stop off 4 threads took it out for a spin and wow, what a difference ! Can someone reass...

Re: No oil in the Oil feed line.

I had snapped the brake vacuum spigot and me not being aware that it was linked to the oil pump had made the request for info before realising this, that's what you get for trying to do it all yourself with no real experience I suppose ?

Anyone been to Bella Terra in Blanes, just booked for the last 2 weeks of the summer holidays, £370 inc hook up, excellent price for that time of year and it looks a good site, right on the beach !

AAZ breather pipe

Can anyone running the aaz tell me what they done with the extra breather pipe on the head ( curvy one!) I'm running all the jx gear, I'm sure I read somewhere that it's best to extend it up the nearside air vent ? does it need a filter on it ?

Ok, thanks for that, at least I know I'm on the right track and haven't done much wrong. I have installed the exhaust as per normal so will see how well my pipework does and go from there, many thanks for the replies to all. :ok

Out of interest "colinthefox" is this the item you welded to the top and did you cut the existing raised part that houses the valve right off ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130713582573?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return fa...
