Re: diesel flywheels
starter wise I am sure I have more than one TDI starter so it makes sense to go that way rather than a tired t3 diesel one if I have one.

Re: diesel flywheels
Will a 1Z setup clear the bell housing ? is it just the DMF tdi setups that need the bell housing mods for clearance?

Re: diesel flywheels
so it sounds like the Audi 80 flywheel wont be much cop. could not find a part number on the flywheel at all. clutch measures 210mm and has a tdi size centre spline. So.… TDI flywheel wise I have a number of options. I have an early 1z one (need to check if its solid) I also have a solid flywheel co...

Re: diesel flywheels
why move the post to a different section? I am looking at flywheel options but the engine is the same as a standard n.a 1.6 diesel as used in a t3. If the fly wheel turns out to be the same then I will be using a standard clutch setup.

Re: diesel flywheels
I will get the clutch off and have a look/ take some pictures over the weekend.
I presume "the back" would be the crank oil seal side of the flywheel rather that the clutch side? so would probably need to remove from the crank to see it ?

diesel flywheels
I have a 1.6d from an Audi 80 that I plan to put into a Doka that I am working on but I don't have a standard T3 flywheel. So looking at other options. I have a 3 different tdi engines all with flywheels still fitted and the Audi 80 engine still has its flywheel. If I was to use a tdi one then could...

Re: Will these merc wheels fit?
checked earlier, I had it back to front ish. the ones I have fitted are 7x15 et37 with 10mm spacers. then I got hold of a set of the 6.5x15's (all Mercedes rims) on one of my other t3's I have 7x15 Merc rims that are et25 from older SL Mercs. bolt on no problem. but they are not as easy to find.

Re: Will these merc wheels fit?
I will have to check (have some fitted) but I think the 6.5x15 et37 fit without spacers. the 7x15 et 37 ones need spacers for sure.

Re: T4 Seats into a T25
The base is very much like a t3 item but welded on side mountings for the back rest are different.. i had a t3 one and a 1992 t4 one side by side yesturday. the early t4 ones do use the exact same lever that locks into the seat runner slots though. so as per the link just remove the lower lip parts ...

Re: WBX-to-inline adaptor plate
if they dont have them already then im sure it could sell well in the states, they like their auto boxes and this would help with fitting other engines to them. (i think??)

Re: 15 inch granada wheels
if they are steels then they fit on no spacers needed. the bolt holes are a touch tight, once i had fitted and removed mine a few times it was fine , its that little if its the ally rims then the centre bore is fine, just the lip that holds the center logo in.... i cant remeber what its like on the ...

Re: Mercedes E C class 15" steel wheels fit y/n?
the comon ones 6j x 15 et49 spacers needed. fitted with 12mm spacers i had. but close ish to the suspension. 6.5j x 15 et 37 will bolt on without a spacer but very close 1or 2mm away. would fit spot on with 5mm spacers. 7j x 15 et 37 fit spot on with a 10mm spacer. rare ones. 7j x 15 et 25. no space...

Re: 2.5 tdi mid mounted
i have heard talk of using porsche inner cv joints.. but not sure if that was with the standard t3 shafts or SA ones. a good machine shop should be able to make up some adaptor plates for use with t3 drive shafts. you need to make sure they have enough dish to them so that the cv can move as it shou...
