Do you have an EGR or has it been blanked/ deleted? They are a comon thing to get gunked up and cause problems. There were plug in tuning boxes for the TDI engines, not sure if still available new but possible second hand. I'm a big fan of the afn and that's what powers our day to day car. VW but no...

has anyone got any info on what diff would be in an ASM gearbox, had a look in a few places and none of them show what diff would be in this code box.

Would anyone know which engines VW Seat Audi used the alternator with the big spring under it. It's the ones that bolt up for belt tension, but you have to compress the spring to change the belt then tighten the pinch bolt. I know was used on T4 1.9 TD / Na engines. It's worth checking if the inlet gasket is the same as used on other engines. I think I read about using a petrol inlet manifold somewhere. It's possible that the petrol 1.8 and 2.0l engines have the same type of inlet port layout.

The standard 1.6na diesel air box should fit also.

yes I have seen those. I'm more looking into the hand held devices currently more because of cost, like quite a lot of people currently money is tight.
 

what cable and software are people using with tdi conversions. I can see lots of cables on eBay etc, some with a CD.

worth doing a test on something ally first, not so much for the primer. More for the hammarite on top. I've found hammarite can sometimes reactivate primers that may not work with it.  I sure hammarite will have a technical page on their website.

Have to agree with Aidan.. love Recaro seats and I have had them in most of my vans and cars. don't get escort rs turbo ones though or rover vitess turbo recaro seats though. the RS ones are a much taller base. rover ones have built in subframe.
