Don't know if you've noticed but it looks like you're missing your engine too [emoji57]

Re: Help with westfalia rear badges
Hi,
I have a 1981 Westfalia Joker. There is no circular VW badge on the back, but it has a badge with "Volkswagen" on the left and a "camping" badge on the right.

Re: 1980 Westfalia cab seat covers
Hi, I bought Van Dyke seat covers and material for the rock and roll seat from Gunzl. Very good quality but expensive (and i bought it before the pound lost value)! They do other materials too: https://www.vwbusshop.de/epages/GuenzlClassicParts.mobile/en_GB/?ViewAction=MobileSF-DetailFacetedSearchPr...

Re: Painting Transporter badge?
Just an idea (never tried it), what if you sprayed the whole thing silver, then apply a thin layer of vaseline to the letters, and then spray with black. The black paint should just wipe off the letter faces

Re: Onboard computer for VW T3 and earlier
@bobby-gg I'm impressed by the display in the spare switch blank - where did you source the display from? I'm also developing a computer powered replacement for the electronic choke on my 2l Aircooled engine. A byproduct of the project will be a cylinder head temperature monitor - although this may...

Re: Rear crossmember/ valance
On an air-cooled van the heating system intake is connected by a flexible hose to the oval aperture on the inside of the rear valance (within the engine bay). This is then connected to all the holes on the outside. I guess the idea being it wouldn't suck in fumes from the engine/ exhaust. Although, ...

Re: Repairing Auto Chokes
Thanks for your thoughts.
I'd still like to try and repair a unit - If I keep the carbs I will have to at some point anyway!
I'll try experimenting on a broken unit first and then my originals. I'll post the results
Cheers

Repairing Auto Chokes
Hi, I've read a number of posts on the Solex 12V auto chokes but couldn't fine one that covered dismantling and repair. Both my choke units (from a 2.0l CU Aircooled) have broken male spade contacts but appear to work. :D See below. auto choke 2.1.jpg I could solder a new male spade contactor on but...

Re: Correct Distributor for 1981 CU engine?
Thanks for the feedback. Will seek a replacement on the Wanted forum. The 009 will be flogged on ebay (without ref to T25s)!
Cheers Chris.
