Upholstery repair

Upholstery question. Have got this really annoying cigarette burn in the drivers seat in otherwise perfect upholstery for a 39 year old van. Suggestions as to how I can possibly fix it please? Have thought about glueing a small foam plug into it but then not sure how to blend / disguise it. https://...

Re: Radio replacement

Hi Welcome to the crazy world of the T3! Has your van got a leisure battery? If so you will find that the previous owner has rewired not only the radio and cigarette lighter socket but also the interior lights to the leisure battery so that when camped up you can listen to the radio, have the lights...

Re: What’s missing here?

I might be able to help you here! My old van, slowly being dismantled has a fibreglass window surround fitted. It’s glued and pop riveted into place and might be persuaded to come out in one piece! It has the remains of evo stik on the surface that should clean off quite easily. Not sure how it woul...

Re: Raptor bed liner as a paint

Whilst surfing YouTube I've come across these guys who go by the name "Team Overland UK Raptor's Garage". A good source of mechanical videos to while away the time, and they have successfully used Truck bed Coating (on *and *overs) and show how to apply and maintain the fresh look. https:/...

Re: Time to tidy my van.

Well, at long long last, I’ve finally managed to do some work on my van! It’s not been easy, so much other work to do around the home but hey, some time on my van has been good. So first task was clearing the inside of the van of its roll as being a storage of bits. https://live.staticflickr.com/655...

Re: Time to tidy my van.

Hi all, I hope to be back soon. Re: Time to tidy my van.

Thanks multisi I gave it all trying to remove that arm! The outer circlip was missing, the arm was out of alignment and was solidly rusted to the shaft. I did some damage to the under surface of the arm, non to the bellhousing thankfully but do have a replacement arm to use on the ‘new’ clutch. http...

Re: Time to tidy my van.

Little bit of an update, slow progress but getting there; After “multisi” pointed out my potential problem with the clutch operating shaft and bracket I’ve managed to sort it I hope! Firstly needed to take off the slave cylinder bracket from the old bell housing. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1979/...
