Re: Bad wiring on the starter motor?

Thanks all for your help

Re: Will these springs fit?
Hi All, Sorry for the late reply, ive been in switzerland and the van has been parked up. (which she was not pleased about!) I would guess that the front ones have been left for the look and maybe that the back ones needed doing and were easy. Personally id prefer that the ride was a bit less bouncy...

Oil sensor leak
Hi all, I have just taken "Mimi" (83 1.9 DF) for a run after a month or so and had a nice line of oil follow me home. on the plus side the oil light works. Ive taken the gard off from around the pushrods and the oil is leaking from the oil pressure sensor. It could be possible that its bee...

Re: Broken cab heater
So, I had a crack at this, dash out and pulled the whole thing to bits, managed to do it without taking the hoses off. Cleaned alot of "pooh" out of the core and it was in pretty good condition so replaced the foam mounting strips, made some new flaps. Heater blower was working fine, not m...

Will these springs fit?
Hi, Quick one, I brought a 1.9 watercooled dg (late) and it came with a box set of 4 springs. 2 were already on the back and the other 2 are still in the box. the 2 that are on the front could do with being changed as they are a bit rusty and it would be nice to have a few less bumps! The front 2 ar...

Re: circuit ribbon under clock cover
The following link details the wires for the disel modle. Does anybody know the relivent layout for a 1983 1.9 petrol? Still trying to trace a fault with my temp gauge, HAS to be in this board somewhere and havent worked out which wire to bypass directly to the gauge. (which works as bypasing the wr...

Re: Temperature and fuel gauge faulty
Thanks for that. I think that its something to do with that setup as it seems to have interferred with the dash light bulbs too. Will try and trace it tomorrow and see what happens. Might try bypassing the plug completly or checking those terminals again with the metre to double check that both pins...
