Re: 1989 - 2.1 petrol panel van - Overheating without heating!

Maybe committing to the Brickwerks one is best then in the long run! Would it be worth testing the current radiator to ensure that's the issue before replacing completely or do all signs lead to that almost certainly being the problem? Cheers! Brickwerks - absolutely :D Great service & knowledg...

Re: Mud flaps

Got mudflaps fitted (the jk ones - it's from a time before I knew about brickwerks, but they work very well & keeps crud away from behind the wheel arches which has to be a good thing). The South African JK ones are better they actually protect your bodywork from gravel rash on the wheel arch e...

Re: The new “Bowler” hardtop

Sweet  Would love a doka like this for our camper and beach business (when we are back at the shows) - alas a scudo van  suffices for now (which is handy now we have a pop up shop in the seaside village of Mumbles (Swansea) this year, as it fits in tight spaces & the mrs can drive it...

Will be fitting the rubber inner wheel arch liners when funds allow (after the sills are sorted :D

Re: Value of an engine?

A 2.1 petrol engine is always desirable (as parts are getting harder to get hold of for them), and a power upgrade for 1.9 petrol vans.

Has she said why it was taken off the road - mechanical or body issues ?

Hard to value as condition is everything, depends if its savable as a van or breaker ?

Re: New to the Club - any help welcome!

Welcome - you've found the best place to find advice (& sanity saving) - and found the holy grail supplier brickwerks (rather than find some of the lesser suppliers & then finding the light). This is an extra part to the fantastic brickwerks fuel kit, & highly recommended (currently not ...

Re: Converting early T25 fuel tank to late

email brickwerks & they can put all the parts together for you - I would advise replacing all the seals etc around the filler cap as well (as they are likely to be totally shot by now) - have a look on the brickwerks website & they have loads of helpful advice on each part number.

ours was done in same colour as bodywork about 6 years ago - still looking great (bodywork showing some signs - but high top almost blemish free - ours is a factory hightop so the lovely / fugly shape is disguised a bit by the 1 colour all over - saw it on a blue syncro donkeys years back, which hel...

Solid panel on roof - attached with brackets - mastic to death (works fantastic) - only hole is for the wire coming through a fixing - no problems in 2 years :-)

Re: replacement window rubbers seals needed

Absolutely don't buy the JK kit (especially the front & rear screens) - experienced vw garage smashed both my front & rear screens trying to fit to their rubbish non fitting rubbers - we tried for about 3 hours & just wasn't going to fit. Buy german quality only - did that & the s/h ...
