Re: Engine hatch seal, glue failure

Preparation is everything.  Fitted my BW hatch seal several years ago, cleaned both surfaces with panel wipes (all I had at the time) and it's still bonded firm.

Re: Plumbing advice request - Motorised Valve

WTAF?  8 years has passed, I think it's safe to say the problem has been rectified.

Re: Oil Temp and pressure gauge issues

As Airhead has said, there doesn't appear to be an oil feed going to the pressure sender unit.  That's definitely not the way mine (from Brickwerks) is plumbed in.

Re: Temperature Gauge issues

May be coincidence, but......  I've also fitted a SHC ribbon replacement kit and not only does my temp needle barely move but the oil light glows faintly.  At some point soon, with the help of Itchyfeet, I'm hoping to diagnose the fault so I can't point the finger just yet!

sliding door opening

Hiu, I'm aware this is a relatively common problem, thus, I'm confident of receiving solutions from you.  My slider will open whilst driving, it actually opens fully and slams against the stop which is particularly disturbing, more so to pedestrians if driving through town as it sounds like a gun go...

That's the very wheel I have but with 185's. Thanks for the pic and clearing up my confusion.

Which locking nuts/studs?

Hi,
I'm wanting to order locking nuts/studs for my oem vw alloys which are ready for collection from the refurb shop.  Can anyone tell me if they require radiused or tapered nuts/studs, please?

Many thanks.

Re: Carat alloys tyre size

Hi, does anybody have a pic of the Carat alloys please?  I have a set of genuine vw alloys and thought they were the Carats, clearly not as they are fitted with 185 r14 80.

Thanks.

Re: WBX broken stud replacement notes

This is pretty much what I had to do with a casing belonging to Itchyfeet.  Took longer to clamp that it did to machine.

Re: Various locks and keys question

I think I'm correct in saying original wafers aren't numbered.  The only way to identify them is to compare them with aftermarket ones (these have a number stamped on them).

I left mine submerged in petrol for days to no avail.  Whatever the crud is, it's solid and no easily dissolved.
