My first advice would be to check out sarran 1955 videos on YouTube, very informative. Then you can see what these engines are all about. It also looks like you have missing vacuum pipes and tin ware.
I really liked my 2.0l cu but eventually changed to a dirty diesel.

They do perish and split over time. As OBG suggests a temporary fix is to get a peice of pipe and plug it with a bolt.

Re: Diesel leak under pressure
Hopefully it will be something simple like the injector leak off pipes or the rubber blanking cap on 1st injector. I had a split blanking cap in Applecross, Scotland, diesel pee'd out of it when the engine was turning over.

Re: Installing aftermarket rev counter / tacho into a petrol T25
One thing to be aware of with the diesel tacho is that they can be quite sensitive to damp, well mine is. I have one installed in my van and during the winter in can sometimes take while for it to work.

Re: Occasional Knock
Could be a dry cv joint. I had a similar sound a few years back which started as an intermittent knock which gradually got worse. I had the joints changed, both sides, but mechanic said they were both dry as grease had deteriorated. It is possible to 'inject' grease around the joint, I use a syringe...

Re: Sliding door trim
Mines is made from black angled plastic. Never broken etc in the 9yrs I've had the van. It has two angled joints which are fused/melted together. Did you buy it or make it? I didn't make it. It was on the van when I bought it. It is homemade though and isn't hard to do I'll post a couple of pics up...

Re: Replacement gearbox for DReg T25
Aidan on here is the gearbox specialist but hes usually very busy, as youd expect. If you get stuck have a word with Malc here. Rebuilds gearboxes, happy with the 3h he supplied me with He also comes out and fits it if necessary, about £300ish.
