Re: Possible air lock in fuel line/ pump T25 1998 (diesel)
Double check the fuel filter. I have found it to be be a real pain to get the pipework airtight. Especially the ones with the thermo valve. Even had a new tank fitted because of air bubbles after thinking it couldn't be the filter!

Re: Suspension bushes
Personally if it's not been flagged as an issue I would be inclined to leave alone. However I do regularly spray these areas with a bit of ptfe oil as part of routine maintenance. Don't know if it helps but hopefully it's worth it.

Re: Tailgate strut to body lug?
Pop into J's Garage on Monday if you are still in Mach, he may be able to sort you out, one of the shells there is probably for scrap Cheers for that Aidan but unfortunately I'm on my way to Anglesey tomorrow. We went to Machynlleth on the train from Fairbourne for the day. Hopefully I can get some...

Re: Tailgate strut to body lug?
temporary bodge is a broom handle do you mean this - the lug the gas strut mounts on ? https://brickwerks.co.uk/product/body-panel-t3-rear-hatch-strut-mount/ looks like they are now unobtanium so you will need a cut from a van that is being scrapped Cheers Aidan. That is the piece. Typical that it ...

Tailgate strut to body lug?
The lug (not to sure what it's called) that is used to attach the tailgate to the body has snapped. Does anybody know where I can get one from or what they are called.
I'm on a campsite at the moment so going to have to come up with a temporary bodge for now, any ideas?
Cheers
Dave

Should it have a biggish spring under the alternator to act as a tensioner? Mine has but this was missing when I first got the van and was having to do the same thing as you.

Re: Rear brake balance
Could well be rear cylinder. A leaking one was the cause of mine although there was no sign of it leaking. However it did leak from the drum eventually and by this time had contaminated the shoes. Check the brake fluid level.

How about some kind of tarp that goes over the van but also provides a bit of a canopy over the doors.

Have a word with Alan Schofield. They might he able to fabricate one for you. I know they do a repair piece.
