For what its worth I purchased a new lock housing with bearing included (cheapo one of eBay) it turned out to be a worn housing and not the bearing, although the new bearing that came with housing had loads more play in it than the original German one ?

Old bearing new housing = no play :-)

Lighter thing..... its the way forward, although our lighter thing is shaped like a big match, which is nice :D

Oh and I'm a tap man just too, just for my pennys worth :-)

Yep, I check my as regularly as I check my oil, just got back from Snowdonia with 4 half way out that got checked prior to leaving home ... must get some more loctite, or new lock washers :shock:

Cheers I think you're right, just didn't know if it had a rotating flange like some motorbikes do ?? Problem is can't split back manifold from front pipe as it rusted solid at the clamp area, I got it clear enough to fit gaskets but removing it compely for welding means cutting it off..... aaaah the...

Exhaust blowing advice...

Afternoon all, could do with a hand before I go mad !! Just replaced my silencer, and in doing so had to remove nearside manifold ! refitted everything with new gaskets and now the only issue I have is the exhaust is blowing from around the shroud welded to cylinder head end of the rear pipe/manifol...

Will do mate, oh and I sorted out the knocking noise .... Not wheel bearings, oh no... It was a loose damper, lower mount bolt needed nipping up, now sorted 8)

Wohoo MOT done at last :D Cheers for the kind comments folks, im pleased with how its turned out for the money I've spent on it... 8) And the funniest thing is ghost123uk, I do have a advisory about slight play in rear wheel bearings.. ha ha ha Beach pics to follow, albeit cold wets beaches no doubt...

Evening all, Just a quick update. After purchasing our T25 in November last year in a bit of a state we are very very nearly ready to go on our Easter hols this Friday , MOT "should" be done tomorrow :? We paid £1500 for a scabby left hooker 1.9 Df. Ran well, had a smidging of MOT, lots of...
