Re: Inner sill bung holes
It would suggest your sill has been done before. Those big holes are there from factory and usually have plastic bungs in them.

Found it! https://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=165773&start=60#p8237002" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; :ok For what it’s worth, shell out the £100 for the whole c pillar from BW. It’s worth it just for the pain of the complex shape. But big kudos if yo...

Re: Rustoration
Jinx Is it worth shelling for Tapatalk pro? One off £9.99? Or is the image posting functionality hinted at arriving soon? Anyway, without photos, the outside edge of my battery tray is toast, as are the inside and outside edges of the “X” panel, but the top of the chassis rail looks mostly ok!! Loo...

Re: Sliding window seal fitment
Did you have window there originally? If so go on YouTube for threading in Windows with some soapy water. If you cut the hole out of a panel van, it won’t fit.

Re: Project Phoebe - a diary and some advice seeking
There’s some decent pics of how that inner arch goes together in my procrastination thread.
Good effort, keep at it. I would stop cutting though and just fix one area before cutting the next out. When you cut the b and c pillars you will need to brace internally to stop them flexing outwards.

Thanks very much. I too took inspiration from other member’s posts. Hopefully once my house move is finished I’ll have time to finish this thread!

Looking great, you’ve given me the idea to save having to pay for the ‘proper’ board for some modifications I have to do to.

The last time I looked into this, most places just base cost on time in the tank and they throw it in with other stuff anyway.
Looks great btw

Have a look on my thread. The rear panel basically folds around the c pillar at the door frame around the seal.

Re: Paint codes
Hi guys thanks for your assistance the colour code on the nameplate under the seat is H3H3LL. Can you tell me what colour it is. Thanks. H3 - Marsala red ? https://vwt25.blog/paint-codes/ Exactly the page I’d been looking for! IIRC the code is doubled for top and bottom as a lot of vans were two to...

Re: Stereo switching off whn not running, intermittent
Voltage drop causing amp to turn off? Sounds right to me. Unless you've upgraded the stereo supply wiring and/or are using a separate amp then the thin VW wiring will be dropping several volts when the speakers are being driven hard. OK when running because the alternator/voltage regulator are keep...

You’ve hit the same point I did. Nothing like a deadline to focus the mind. That’s why I haven’t posted in a while mines actually finished a few months ago, well she’s back together and passed test. I had to go away with work for a few months and moving country in a few weeks. Tip from the top, do w...
