Re: saab 95 seat challenge
I've done this. I did try the nut in the runner thing, but it was a bit awkward. In the end I just lined up the Saab runners on top of the old runners, used the old holes as guides, drilled through to the wheel arch, and using some new bolts and washers from screw fix fixed the seats in from underne...

Re: Diesel in a Petrol
I am slightly concerned the fuel economy is worse since my misfuel incident.
Am I imagining things or would something be causing this?

Re: Diesel in a Petrol
Ahh... I see. Was fine what I drained and topped it off.
Then drove it after 4-5 hours, struggled to start.
Guess it needs to keep mixing up.
Great stuff. What a dumb ass I am.
There was a kind of metallic tapping / clacking for a bit, but that seems to have subsided.

Diesel in a Petrol
Quick one just mistakenly filled up just under half the tank with diesel, topped up with petrol and have limped home.
Will I have done any damage?
I'm going to drain it off and refill it.

Re: Stuck door
Ahhh.... The key barely unlocks mine in the passenger door now. Very stiff...etc etc. Sometimes I have to hit the out side handle to release the door handle trigger so it pops out, and protrudes towards the door. Then sometimes I can just about do it. Otherwise I have to open it from the inside. Sou...

Re: Stuck door
I think I can help. This happened to me on holiday. The Bowden cable needed tightening on my door, but had also popped out of its fixings Remove the fwd fixings of the door card as well as the sliding door handle. The door card should peel back allowing you to see the interior of the door. There is ...

Re: Stuck in France! Advice for mechanics please
Holy crap. That's IS bad luck. I was also booked to stay in Epernay on our outward journey but we missed the train and wild camped instead near Calais. The van looks lovely though. Nice colour scheme. At least your home under your own steam (that's all we wanted to achieve). Next time.... Spares my ...

I sen some mentioning jets? Should I do these at the same time?

JK carb rebuild kit vs Brickwerks kit
Hi all. Looking to start strip down of my spare 2.0 CU Aircooled engine. I want to start by refurbing the twin solex carbs. I normally shop with Brickwerks and they had the kit at £66, but went over to JK and they have a kit (with what looks like more bits) for £29.95. Has anyone any experience of e...

Re: vw t25 fuel gauge
No problem. At least we have new senders now, so we can sleep easy that they won't cause issues any time soon!

Ahhhh the boss has spoken.
Only a fool would disagree.
A few nights under canvas will make you appreciate the van even more.

Re: vw t25 fuel gauge
Had a problem with mine.
Changed the sender, but problem was still there.
They work on resistance, so corrosion can cause problems.
Try cleaning the terminals on the back of the fuel gauge. This eventually solved it for me.

Re: van just cut out and died
Could be. Re reading it, it does attempt to fire and then die.
It's the "not catching" bit that made me think electrics.
It's certainly worth checking all the breather hoses.
