Thanks for that, the van lives at my work so I'll try and skive out some point during the week and have a nosey. Fingers crossed it'll be an obvious frazzled wire - will let you know how I get on

Nope doesn't turn over at all. My hubby reckons he saw a puff of smoke from the area behind the head (closest to cab) midway between the electric box thing and the throttle, would the starter /solenoid be there? In case you haven't guessed, we are real novices! !

Hi all, our T25 1.6 diesel is dead as a dodo and we need help!! It was working fine, sat for a week then wouldn't start. Battery seems fine as lights etc are all ok - we did try jumping it just in case, no joy. When you turn the ignition, you get a clicking sound from the engine but no spark / firi...

Hi, wondering if anyone can help.... The red flashing light which usually goes out after a few seconds of engine switch on is staying on, so far we've replaced the sensor with one from vw heritage and checked all the coolant levels which are fine, what else do people suggest ? Hi all, Hoping someone can help.... We've got a 1.6 diesal t25 (1988) i think its a JX engine. We've had him for about a month now and in that time all we've checked is the oil! Hi, thanks for the responses.... 1664 it is the large vents, not the smaller one so guess thats the fridge ones - i think we'll remove it anyway as it looks tatty and we want the van to look as pretty as possible!!
