Injector could be causing back pressure if dodgy or dirty.

Have you checked stop solenoid on injection pump? You should hear it click when a live is fed to it.

when you said 18000 I thought that was a typo, didn't realize you meant it really was 18000
on the log book. Whats your insurance like?

Hi its a type 4 engine, an code is 1800cc and was fitted to bays, and later modified to fit some Aircooled vanagons / t25's.

Ok mate. Did your van start before you broke the shut off solenoid? Check battery is fully charged, check glowplugs are working, check starter motor cranking fast enough, check main glowplug fuse strip in black box, check your new solenoid is working ( you can hear a click when power is supplied to ...
