Whilst the fuel tank is out it’s a good opportunity to clean around the tank area as it’ll be full of years old crud and then spray a decent amount of Waxoyl/Bilt Hamber prior to refitting.

We ideally need to know which engine (put this in your signature). I agree - I’d just take it nice and easy and drop oil and filter at 500 - that’s what I did with mine, but didn’t change the bearing’s like you have.

I’m sure one of the guru’s will be able to confirm.
