Re: Fitting a Speedshop exhaust to Aircooled T25
Many thanks for all your suggestions and ideas guys. Not too keen on the look of the bike can, but a great idea. I looked at the Ahnendorp BAS system a while back. I like the design but it's a bit too pricey for me, so finally went for a CSP Python that JK we're selling at a good price. It fitted st...

Re: Fitting a Speedshop exhaust to Aircooled T25
Having realised that this Speedshop exhaust is never going to fit, and discovering that the flanges are going rusty after just one night out, I am sending it back for refund. So my question now is, does anyone know of an aftermarket stainless exhaust that will fit an Aircooled T25? I looked at the v...

Re: Fitting a Speedshop exhaust to Aircooled T25
It's just the rear header pipes and muffler.
I can't get it bolted to the heat exchangers because it's too big to fit inside the rear valence.

I have searched the wiki, this site and the net, but can't find any pics or info that might help. Has anyone done this and got any tips / photos they would like t...

Re: CU non-starter - now electrics (oops engine)
I had a similar 'dead battery' issue at the weekend, even though I knew the battery was good. Turned out to be the main earth path from the engine to the chassis. I put a jump lead from the starter mounting bolt to a good chassis earth, and it fired up instantly. Might be worth a try. I don't know i...

Re: Devon Side Hinged Roof Moulding
Just to complete this, I had a good day last week playing with grp and today I got the moulding finished and back on the van. All the rivet holes lined up nicely and am really pleased with the result. :D http://i1331.photobucket.com/albums/w584/Ulyman2/IMG_20130425_134710_zps0a8c4ef1.jpg Before - th...

Re: Devon Side Hinged Roof Moulding
OK, so I got the moulding off yesterday and no apparent signs of rot anywhere, but the fiberglass is incredibly thin. Think I'll build up the thickness a bit before replacing the wooden block. http://i1331.photobucket.com/albums/w584/Ulyman2/IMG_20130419_190639_zps5c03eb33.jpg http://i1331.photobuck...

Re: Devon Side Hinged Roof Moulding
Many thanks for the pics Darren, that's exactly what I needed. And I'll certainly be taking pictures as I go so I can help out anyone else who may have this problem. If you need any details for fitting yours, please let me know. mm, I take the point about using hardwood for the new blocks, the area ...

Re: Devon Side Hinged Roof Moulding
Hi mm, thanks for the 'sexing' advice the name was chosen by the GF.
So, in van anatomy then, what distinguishes the boys from the girls? Or are all T25's male by default?

Re: Devon Side Hinged Roof Moulding
Hi B.A, thanks for your reply, and for confirming what I thought was a block of wood. This morning I tried to twist the section back to the correct shape, but it all springs back again when I let go. I thought there may have been some steel reinforcing bonded into the fibreglass but I can't detect a...

Devon Side Hinged Roof Moulding
Hi all, My first post after becoming the proud owner of 'Petal', an '82 A/C Devon. We've been doing lots of work to get her sorted mechanically, but it's time to get the interior lining replaced and a new pop top canvas has also been ordered. Having removed the old canvas and trim, I discovered the ...
