I don't think the charger does the main battery , so it could have been your lights and radio that have flatten you main battery , there is a quick and easy mod to get around that problem.

Will do thanks.

Re: 1.6 Diesel cutting out

Right then it appears that my problems are more sinister than first imagined. Thought i'd give the van a damn good servicing changed the fuel filter, started draining the oil and while that was draining checked the water level when I looked inside the cap there was a little bit of oil so I stuck my...

Re: 1.6 Diesel cutting out

Hi all bought a 1.6 diesel van a couple of weeks ago have now done about 300 miles but the engine has started cutting out intermitantly when I drop the clutch. Also have quite a bit of black smoke! Thought it might be sucking in air so changed the rubber pipes between the injectors but this...

Re: Fridge not working off 12v

Hi My fridge is working off 240v and gas ( thanks to you guys) but not 12v. I have pulled it out and it is getting around 13.5v into the terminal block on top. I don't know what is called, it's a small round thingy fixed to a fin at the top, which has a wire going to the fan. The fan gets power unt...

Temp Gauge Light Flashing, Any Ideas ??

The gauge level reading sits in the middle when its been running, there doesn't seem to be any air locks and all the pipes front to rear are getting warm. When I unplug the sensor in the water pipes betw...

Fitting a West lean kit from Brickwerks

Has anyone fitted a Westy lean kit from Brickwerks ?
Might be a stupid question but does the rubber spacer thing on the rear spring go between the body and the shim or between the shim and the spring ?
Thanks.

Re: Bad Grip Performance Suspension- Advice Please

Couldn't agree more buy the right stuff in the first palce and do it just the once. I bought a cheap set of springs for mine when I got it and they were "pooh" ! Changed for some decent ones and a set of Bilsteins and the difference is amazing.

Re: Setting Valve Clearances on a 1.6TD

Setting with a warm/hot engine.......0.20 - 0.30 inlet and 0.40 - 0.50 exhaust.....so for example on an inlet valve the 0.20mm feeler goes into the gap between the cam and follower but a 0.30mm feeler does not..if you get my drift (set the cam lobes 180 degrees, straight up, when checking) You need...
