After alot of thought and spying on the T4's and T5's at VanFest I have decided to keep it providing I get my pension from work. If not it may be a case of selling it to survive until the court hearing.

JD drop your tank replace rubber grommits, all fuel lines and check the plastic filler pipe it comes in 2 pieces with a rubber type washer. Once this is all done you should be sorted and more importantly SAFE. Do NOT chance going camping and cooking in the van, as a fireman I know only to well the c...

Russel, can you give an estimate of how much it would cost for conversion bits not including the donor vehicle. just considering the possibilities for the future and wondered wether it would be feasable.

Make sure you speak to Simon at brickwerks and listen to his advice. If you are a fully loaded camper I would not go lower than 30mm velle springs, he will explain why. Much better handling and the wind is not as much of a problem.

Adding Power Steering

if I can source the doner bits (anyone know what this consists off) how easy is it to convert a standard van to power steering for a good mechanic. Is it just a bolt on exercise.

what sort of money will I be paying for the bits

What Diesel

ok, I am looking at replacing my 1.9DG in my 87 high top. I am looking for reliability, economy and power. I am keeping the van so a brand new engine may be a possibility what do I go for, alternatively I will have to source an engine and have it rebuilt.

I had this problem with my first engine, sometimes the metal bit of the oil filler neck corodes that much that it gets pitted and has pin holes in it. May be worth a look.
