I would... clean the engine where the leak is suspected, get it up to temp, dust it with talc and see whats leaking. might just be the gasket or the cover spring has weakened. is the filter on tight? only use mineral oil... as synth and mineral DO NOT MIX
yup, used 15w40 mineral oil.

hi guys so i checked my oil last night and it was just under minimum, got the oil and stuck maybe half a litre in. dipped it again and it was halfway between min and max, went out for a 10 minute spin and came home and parked her up. We have just bought a good secondhand tailgate.
It has got slight surface rust in a couple of places, what so we need to use to get rid of the rust?
Sand it down then treat it with something or what?

in hindsight maybe a rolling resto would be easier on the pocket?
