Heavy clutch?

Hi all! The dog and I have been on the road for the passed two months in my petrol 1991 DG Caravelle (living the dream!) I've noticed that in the morning having camped up for the night, the clutch pedal is nice and light but as I drive it gets progressively heavier? Should this be a concern? Could i...

Re: tapping when under load

Thanks fellers for all the info here. Ive made the school boy error of not telling you what van i have! So firstly, its a 1.9 petrol, caravelle. Checked the cv joint on the driveshaft as Kevtherev suggested and there does seem to be a similar tapping sound when i give the left rear one a good jiggle...

The tapping is like metal on metal and happens whilst on the gas in all gears incl reverse? I dont think this has any re...

battery fireworks!

Slowly getting the old bus roadworthy, was feeling pretty happy when i heard a snap, crackle and pop? Firstly I checked to see if a bowl of rice crispies had found its way behind my seat but instead saw quite the fireworks display coming from the battery! The metal lid currently has no insulation so...

Re: Unofficial Survey! Where does your temp needle sit?

Just changed rad and bled my 1.9l watercooled DG which moved the needle down from 3/4 to well below half way. It did take a while for the new coolant to work its way around though, I had to open the bleed valve in the engine bay and park her facing down a steep hill, needed to run for a good half ho...

Just fitted a new mechanical fuel pump, the pump has 2 metal tubes (one above the other) one is an inlet for the fuel pipe from the tank, the other an outlet for the pipe from pump to carb. Re: Air (lots!) from fuel filter - where to get filter housing?

Ive replaced engine, carb, coil, amp, radiator and fuel pump and nothing has fixed it! Im now thinking maybe theres some crud /air fro...
