can you recommend me a garage? (Mid-wales / shropshire)
Hi all, On a recent trip to the coast our camper "Betty" decided to loose her clutch fluid all over the road and we had to get towed off to a garage in Barmouth (where she has sat for seven weeks - dont ask!) We have been having some issues finding a decent garage locally, and as her MOT w...

Leisure battery and wiring help for an idiot
Hi all, I have a 1983 Devon with a hook-up, but I am going to attempt to install my own leisure battery. I've had a good read through the wiki, and am pretty confident with installing it with the relay etc. My question is how do you connect the battery to the existing electrical sockets etc? or do y...

Re: Noob oil leak question
Right, got them sorted in the end. And no leaks now!
But....
The van idles quite roughly now, and is really underpowered. I couldn't even get up the slope on my drive.
What is causing this?

Re: Noob oil leak question
Thanks for the advice. I got my seals, and made a start this morning. Managed to get the first six done relatively easy, but I can't get the last two tubes out. They will turn with a bit of effort, but I can't pull them out.
Any advice? Am I going to need to get replacement tubes for these two?

Re: Noob oil leak question
Right, ive given everything a good clean, and it appears its not the cover that's leaking now. It is coming from where the tubes join the back of the cover. I'm guessing thats the pushrods? What do I need to do to sort this? is it something a novice can do? Of anyone knows of a step by step guide / ...

Re: Noob oil leak question
Evening all,
Right, have changed the gaskets, but there is still a small amount of oil dripping from the bottom of the rocker covers. Why would this be? have I just fitted them incorrectly?

Noob oil leak question
Evening all, I have only had my van a week or so and am still trying to get to terms with it! I am not the most mechanically minded but am trying to learn! The only problem I have had so far is a slight smell of fumes in the cab, which was a bit worrying! There is also a little white smoke on...

Re: Syncro buying help!
Yeh, thats what I thought.
probably bankrupt himself getting to this stage!
Having been looking at 2wd t25's all along, the possibility of a syncro has caught me out a bit! How much worse are the running costs? fuel, insurance etc?
E D I T: Thanks Jed.
