5 speed to 4 speed conversion
hi my 3h box has died on me and i was thinking of replacing it with a abd 4 speed . i know if you go from 4 speed up to 5 you have to change the linkage but if i swam my 5 down to a 4 do i still have to change the linkage's ? And if i do need to and didnt what problems would i have ?

yep i do want to lower the revs but im not sure if 205/70/15 will look daftkevtherev wrote:195/70 X 15 will give a perfect circumference match
what you suggest is 2% bigger so the revs will be 2% lower and changing gear will be earlier on the hill

just trial fitted my new wheels .the van is standard height and has a crap gear ratio so the new tyres will be 205/70/15 it will need 10mm spacers at the front and i will fit the same at the rear what do you think ?

Our van hasn't been through an MOT yet since they have been fitted so cant really answer that question but, in my experience, things that cant be seen, cant be tested. in other words remove the belts before you go for the test. Today we have fitted 3 point harnesses in the back for our lads aged 6 and 4, removed the front bench seat, cut the bulk head out behind the seats, fitted a new passenger seat and fitted an immobiliser.
