Re: MOT Failure
Ruralman, my van was in for its MOT yesterday and failed on a very very similar list to yours. Most I can fix... exhaust leaking (joints), headlamp adjusted, brakes binding etc. But I'm curious as to how you got on with rear suspension mountings. Did you manage to get this welded and if so do you mi...

Eberspacher -convert 24v to 12v
Hi A friend of mine has just picked up a diesel Eberspacher D5L C 24V 4800W from a decommissioned military Land Rover ambulance. We are going to work at getting this fitted to his campervan but wondered if anyone can offer any advice on converting from 24v to 12v. E.g. Which components need changed?...

Re: Replace with USB
My local Wickes store had these at half price yesterday, works out at very good value for the van....

Re: exhaust manifold bolt sheared off help!
Hi
How did you get on with this?
Same has happened to mine and just failed it's mot on Friday due to "major leak of exhaust gases".
Only a small part of my stud remains in the hole though.
Passed on everything else which is good.
Thank you.

Re: Autosleeper high-top bed board
Yes, 1/2" thick is just the wood. It is plywood so nice and strong and the reinforcing strip of wood prevents it flexing when entering the roof space.

Re: Side door pops open
Hi, thanks everyone. Now sorted.
Colinthefox had the solution, all I had to do was squeeze the lock together with very large grips. This was done in situ without removing the lock at all.
Went away for the weekend and it did not pop so thank you again for advice and suction.

Re: Autosleeper high-top bed board
Hi, We have a 1987 Autosleeper hi top all completely original inside. I just went out and measured the extra bed board for you. The dimensions are 48" wide by 24" deep by 1/2" thick. There is also a reinforcing strip of wood at front end with handle to slide it out. This is around 3/4...

Re: Side door pops open
Aaah, this certainly makes sense, and explains why adjusting it doesn't help. I'll try to take the lock off and have a look at the wear. I gather the two 'hooks' with the arrows in the photo above hook together when closed? If they are worn they pop apart? Thank you both for your replies and guidanc...

Side door pops open
Hi I am wondering if anyone has some guidelines on how to adjust the side sliding door. The door closes fine and locks however when driving along it 'pops' open around a quarter of an inch. Enough to hear the wind rushing. Once on a motorway it even opened and we had to pull over to close properly. ...

Re: Clutch fluid on road
Thanks. I have now confirmed rotten pipe to blame. Rotted just before petrol rank. I have now ordered a handy Clutch pipe repair kit from Brickwerks. Has anyone else fitted one if these who could offer guidance? Is it best to cut and pull out old one and route new one in same place? In line connecto...
