Re: Re-fitting skylight advice please
Not sure what kind of skylight you have on your van but on the Westy skylights the screws are fitted from inside behind the waterproof line and only hold the fibreglass in position - it's the mastic that makes the seal to the roof. Hi clift_d, I have the same van as you and I need to replace one of...

Re: My T25 high top roof vent
I've just bought my first Vw its a 82 transporter with a Sheldon high top. The guy I bought It off had driven into a low barrier so the roof vent/skylight is beyond repair. Does anyone have an idea of where I can source a replacement of the same size? All the new ones seem to be larger than my exis...

Re: JX 1.6 Turbo Diesel hole in injector rail. HELP!!
Got it all sorted, bought some replacements from Brickworks, super fast delivery. An issue to be aware of though is that when fitting them they can upset the running of the engine. When i picked my van up from my local trusted mechanic (but he is not a VW man) the van was very noisy, rough and smoky...

Re: Is my engine knackered?
it could just be a knackered turbo - you need to get it checked over by a proper diesel specialist before condemning the whole thing as knackered also knackered valve on the breather can allow excess engine oil into the intake and produce high oil consumption Hi Aiden, I took it to Elite VW it was ...

Is my engine knackered?
Its a 1.6 TD (JX) in my camper. Engine makes a worrying mechanical sound under acceleration, blue smoke, black smoke, oil smuts up tailgate. Uses about 1 litre of oil every 100 miles. I am thinking its dying and am wondering about getting a reconditioned engine from Elite VW. I notice that people on...

Re: JX 1.6 Turbo Diesel hole in injector rail. HELP!!
Why did the original get holed - are the anti vibration plastic clips on the pipes? There are 3. Should be: http://i404.photobucket.com/albums/pp125/boyofabeach/pipes.jpg I will check that out thanks. But it was in a place where it did not look as if it rubbed anything. It was on the straight piece...
