It had completely dried up by the time i went to investigate, (hot weather in Slovakia atm) there were no stains on the floor where it had been.
I am going to check bleed valve in a little while.

Re: Big puddle after driving.
If it is an air lock and it has caused an amount of water to be thrown out, where did that come from and why have the levels not reduced significantly?
It makes sense that an air lock is a possibility as where the van came to its stop it was facing downhill.
I will do some playing.
Thanks

A new complete cooling system was installed summer 2012, with new coolant.

Big puddle after driving.
So after being out for a 25 min drive today in about 20°C temp a big puddle of water (about 3litres(possibly coolant as well)) appeared under the van. It had only happened once finished driving and engine was off. I have meticulously browsed the wiki and archive pages to ring similar problems but mo...

Re: Radiator Fan Testing Jumping Etc.
Ok, just went boldly and had a play with it today. So the fan motor still works after a jump on the cable, so have ordered a new thermo switch. When it comes to replacing the switch i have read if done swiftly only a tiny amount of coolant will be lost, if this is such a small amount will it need to...

Re: Radiator Fan Testing Jumping Etc.
How do i bypass the switch?
Apologies for the lack of knowledge on all this, i am just trying to determine if it is the thermo switch that needs replacing.

Re: Radiator Fan Testing Jumping Etc.
Thanks for the reply, I understand what jumping is, i don't understand how to go about it. I understand the paperclip is going on the terminals of the male end. However with this in place the thermo switch can't get any power without being 'plugged in'. The female end of the 'plug' has a white plast...

Radiator Fan Testing Jumping Etc.
The WIKI page on testing the radiator fan quotes: The electric connector pulls off and has three female spade connectors, jump the middle pin to each of the outside pins in turn (use a big paper clip), one side should bring the high fan on and the other should bring the low fan on As a guy who didn'...

Re: WANTED T25 MECHANIC IN BANGOR, N WALES
I had problems with my T25 and these guys sorted it out at a reasonable price. They are a Landrover Specialist but they have a lift that'll pick up a T25 safely (got refused lots of other places). They were really helpful and luckily its just a short drive in Bangor. They're based on the Llandygai E...

Re: Automatic - lack of downshifting ability.
Thanks for the reply, however, I think I have confused myself.
So the downshift/kickdown works. I an unable to select gear one or two from the off or whilst moving. To be used on long downhill sections.

Automatic - lack of downshifting ability.
I have a 1986 T25, petrol automatic. Had ot since May and have not worked out how to downshift into gear one or two.
Am I missing something? Anyone know what's going on?
Any help would be most appreciated.

Re: Broken door handle
I have exactly the same problem with my 86 t3. I think the locking rod has jumped out of its guide hole but have not got round to taking the panel off yet. It seems like that would sort it, so if you have more time on your hands let me know how it goes.

Re: Wild camping Snowdonia/Carneddau mountains?
Hi Mags, If you can part from your van for a night i can recommend the Dulyn Bothy, a mountain hut not too far from Conwy. Information here: http://www.mountainbothies.org.uk/bothy-details.asp?bothy_id=98" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but do follow the Bothy code. Failing ...
