Before resorting to the drill, try heating the cylinder head with a blowlamp, in the region of the screw-studs. This will expand the amuminium and hopefully will expand it sufficiently, relative the the studs, to loosen them enough to remove, whilst the cylinder head is still hot. been doing loads ...

yep, been using my trusty mole grips all along

plus gas and rust buster stuff arrived today.....but still no shifting :(

cheers for that, very interesting reading stuff :)

i'd run out of plus gas but ordered some more (should have before) as i just remembered how good it is!! that along with rust buster, and see if they help shift it first!

i've come to a bit of a stop on this one!! my heat exchangers were both fubar so ive managed to source some and thought i'd have a go changing them 2 of the studs had had it completely so i managed to get the remains of the bots off to get the heat exchangers off and i'm now left with http://i13.pho...

think its worth me getting 2 at that price then!! so long as one will fit under the drivers seat anyway (its for a westy) and ive already re-routed the wiring to the cupboard behind the drivers seat. im not totally sure my batteries charge of the hookup when its put on on the drive before we go away...

looks like my second leisure battery i had is a bit crapper than i though been thinking, it it worth using leisure batteries? or would just using a normal one be any good? especially if you fit 2 and wire them together? any experiences of this? or is it worth sticking with leisure batteries? i dont ...

we've got a pop up cot our little one sleeps in, takes up half the side of the r'n'r and my missus sleeps next to her, i can snore happily up in the roof :D

we leave the travel cot in the awning then for her to go in in the day when she likes.

i personally wouldnt do it

we havent with our 3 month old, not to worried about the temperature in the night as its quite warm in our bus, its more the evenings are the problem......and the waking at 5 o clock screaming fits!!

Is it an under slung eber? should be a D2l diesel or a B2l petrol. have you got a picture of the interior or a discription of it. ie colour and type........ Are you going to dubfreeze, if its the same westy interior as mine (beige and brown).I can show you how to remove the fridge and the eber........

Have a look on the Brickyard, Westfalia forum. All the info is there, I`ve posted the exploded diagrams for the Eber, and there is a full colour picture explanation for the fridge removal and service, also manual for the Westy Joker to download :) cheers fella, it was me who asked on the brickyard ...

anyone here done it? took my bus today to have the fridge and eber serviced.....however they werent sure how to get the fridge out without dismantling half the bus :lol: so i just wondered if there is an easy way to get it to come out? its an electrolux rm184 Also, is there a manual anywhere for ebe...
