Re: Can't disable buzzer of doom

I had a 1989 westy that was fitted with an additional lights on buzzer......a small white buzzer tucked up behind the clocks....this was connected via an additional relay in the fuse box (maybe 21 relay no) not sure if this was factory fitted or aftermarket

Re: saab front seats

Re: rear wheel bearing housing/carrier

I usually knock them out with a hammer and large flat screwdriver........knocking gentlly around the perimeter of the bearing.....you have to knock rear one out from the front of the hub and the front one out from the back of the hub...

Re: Oil temp gauge and sender for 2L CU engine

Hi......I fitted a temp gauge and sender on a 2ltr cu engine......kit is available from vw heritage but you must ensure they know it is t25 as the sender is 50/60mm longer than 2ltr bay.........it took 2 goes but they sent the right one in the end.....easy to fit and gives you peace of mind

Re: How to diagnose Cv vs bearing noise/wear

Hi sounds like a bearing to me.....if you jack up the rear wheel and feel any play from side to side then it is more than likely the bearing....the rears are not adjustable (unlike the front bearings) and replacement is quite a time consuming job..disconnect driveshafts, remove rear hubs.....can be ...

Re: DG engine clacking noise :(

Hi there is one more thing you could check....on many rebuilds the hydrolic lifters are replaced with manual ones because of the cost.........most times a label is put on the rocker cover to indicate this.......but I have had them without........if you remove a rocker cover and the tappets have a ga...
