Re: new turbo leaking oil
I just had a look at mine. Oil return had kink. Temporary 'sorted' it for testing but still leak. Whilst down there I noticed my oil return was not at the six oclock position, I read it should be as close as possible but due to the feed pipe I wont be able to adjust. I assume it is the correct posit...

Re: new turbo leaking oil
I have same issue with my new turbo. When I get a chance to get dirty I am going to empty and refill oil without using dipstick, ensure turbo is clocked correctly and ensure oil drain is as good as can be angle wise. Other than that I am out. Hope you get it sorted. If I find fix for mine I will let...

1.6td CY oil from exhaust?
Hello all. A little background to this problem first is I have what I now know to be a CY 1.6td. On mu last trip it decided to redecorate my tailgate in oil. After a bit of recovery and a bit of digging it turned out I needed a new turbo. I decided to go for the kkk turbo from the jx instead of the ...

Re: Help please. What turbo?
More research to do then. Thanks for the input. It seems the engine could also be out of a passat.

Re: Help please. What engine?
Ok so engine must be jx but that means the jx boost pipe should fit straight on. It doesn't. It is far to wide for the turbo. Now I am under the impression that the jx came fitted with a kkk k14 turbo. Mine has a garret on as is in the picture. Which is better suited to the jx? I don't want to chop ...

Help please. What turbo?
Hello all. So I have been having and posting about my problems with boost pipes and oil issue. I was under the impression my van was running a standard 1.6td jx. I order new boost pipe from brickwerks and just went to fit it. It doesn't fit on turbo end. I just want to check I have the engine is thi...

There goes my oil... Turbo problem?
Ok, I had another thread open about my boost pipe coming off but things have changed so thought I'd open a new one and try to steal your knowledge. Originally the pipe from the turbo to the inlet was blowing off. This, I now know, is due to wrong pipe set up. On the way home today the boost pipe cam...

Re: 1.6td boost pipe question
Ok so I had a look at the pipe and for some reason mine is wrong and an added pipe. It says gm on it for a start. Now not sure about buying the correct pipe yet though as on route home from holidays the pipe came off and spat a lot off oil out. By the time I could safely stop it was a very lot of oi...

Re: 1.6td boost pipe question
The previous owner put the engine in so im not 100%. It is not wrapped though. The pipe on brickwerks is a single 90deg angle by the looks where as mine is 2 90deg angles joined by the metal bit. I will get a picture up as soon as I can. May just employ your fix techniques though.

Re: 1.6td boost pipe question
http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/index.php?p ... t&Itemid=3 I found this one but mine is like two f these attached. There is a thread, 'getting there', that talks of the same issue and they got new clips and a longer bit of metal in the middle. Seems like a good fix but was wondering if there's a sin...

1.6td boost pipe question
Hey all, I have a little question. A few times the pipe that goes from turbo to the manifold has popped off while I am driving. Not great. Mine, off the top of my head, has two pipes. One on the turbo, one on the manifold, with a metal joint in the middle for the two pipes to jubilee clip onto. It I...
