Re: Fuel pump question

Thats a peugeot 205 1.8 diesel pump dude :ok

you can use the JX pump but you will need to use a dial gauge on the pump and then alter the fuel screw, thats a way to pervent changing the engine cover, or you can use the AAZ pump, i have a spare of each if your interested?

Re: aaz engine dipstick

I had my dipstick extended (ooer missus!) for my 1Y engine, by Phil Miller on this forum, who fitted the engine. A bit of dipstick was welded on the end (overlapped and shaped with a grinder). Added 3.5 litres, started the engine and ran until the oil pressure light went off - took a reading, and m...

Re: No oil in the Oil feed line.

If you run with a very low oil level you can lose the vacuum to the servo also! Hows that as the oil pump is ran off the bottom of the vac pump, the vac pump is driven off the aux shaft which is driven off the cambelt, the only way you could lose servo is is the cambelt and or aux shaft snaps, oil ...

Re: No oil in the Oil feed line.

I had snapped the brake vacuum spigot and me not being aware that it was linked to the oil pump had made the request for info before realising this, that's what you get for trying to do it all yourself with no real experience I suppose ? Fair play dude, that could happen to anyone, good on y...

Re: No oil in the Oil feed line.

Ok couple of quick questions

I take it you have put oil in it? and i also take it you have fitted the T25 oil pump and pick up?

now if both are present, then id take the feed pipe off the oil filter housing and see if you have oil there, if not then check the oil filter housing for blockage

Re: Opinions from people who have gone from 1.6 CS to 1Y

Bump - I've now gone ahead and had a 1Y fitted. Thanks to Phil Miller on this forum, i'm now running with 29% more torque. Phil did a fantastic job on this, i'm really chuffed with it! I've written a blog post about it here:- http://campervanthings.com/2013/03/16/t25-diesel-upgrade-to-1Y-engine/&qu...
