wheel carrier

hi guys,

my van came without the carrier, ive got a spare so might as well fit one. picked up the round plate but no "tube" brackets, are they needed or can i just put bolts through the hinges?

glad i coul;d finally help!

if you put "12v continental" into ebay, you'll see a varietry of adaptors, replacement plugs etc.

i had one on my first van, its the continental style 12v power socket. you can buy adaptors to go between the socket and the 12v plugs on accesories.

Hi, I had this problem a few years ago on my old Aircooled camper. Happened at a services so had the rac out. After a lot of faffing , he spotted by chance a small hole in the fuel line, the bigger braided bit that went onto the fuel pump. Turned out it was sucking air in. Quick mod and it fired up....

Diesel cutting out

so, just had a 1.9d fitted, apparently ticking over lovely, but cuts out as soon as revved? the mechanic has tried allsorts and is currently stumped, any thoughts apart from get a better mechanic please.

So, I'm finally getting organised to get the internal wiring cracking. I've got a zig cf8 + dist board to go in. What size cable do I need to use to / from the leisure battery, and to / from the main battery? Cheers

Strange one, when I got the van back from having a 1.9d 1y golf engine fitted, the temp needle never moved. I tried shorting the wires and the needle moved right up so I figured it was the sensor. Anything that you can sell on eBay . Lights, dash, gauges, windows, wheels, exhaust . Anything that looks like it's worth anything. It all helps to reduce the cost of the transplant. :ok is there a decent market for golf bits? i was thinking of the bits that would be usable on the van, but like you...

so, i've bought a P reg golf to have the 1y engine transplated across into the van.

Apart from the relays, what else is worth taking from it before it goes to the scrapman?
