Re: Lowering a T25/T3
Hi Neil Lots of data and ideas on lowering - check the WIKI (see the second item on the top of this page!). Of just use the search function for "lowering" I am in the middle of lowering by 40mm .. enough for me as my bum is not ready for a bumpy ride! However, removing the original...

Re: Anyone know much about JT3000 Caravelle's?
Looks a nice one and I bet the 3 litre engine gives a good acceleration (once the roo bars and toughened glass are removed! )
I notice that although it was used in SA, the panels show it is a Euro vehicle - not a SA one - the side windows are smaller in the Euro T25.

Re: cup holders - the USA way
Any spills would help lubricate the shifter!
Looking more closely - the carpet bit is part of the cupholder so it is like a bridge over the autoshifter box.

Yep - our friends in the US so badly want cupholders, nothing will stop them innovating!!!
Quite a neat solution but could do with finishing off!

If you want to fit your own LED's ... all you need to know is here on the WIKI
http://wiki.club8090.co.uk/index.php/VW ... ts_upgrade
This includes a link to a very nice webpage where you can calculate the resistor size for any LED and voltage

Re: Van insulation - did we actually decided which was best?
The problem I find during the winter is that the front cab area of the van undermines any insulation in the back. The areas around the door steps, battery boxes, etc are difficult to insulate and the temperature in these areas just plummets in winter. So perhaps a well insulated body bag (I mean sl...

Got a brand new steering column cover ...
Yes - VW still sell these for around £8 ... this is the plastic cover that goes over the top of the steering column just below the instrument binacle and fits around the ignition barrel. Here is the NEW one with the extra hole ... http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n74/vwlewis/new_steering_column_sh...
