LPG interest on the forecourt!
Have you also had this experience - today as I filled up the guy next to me approached me to ask about LPG conversions (he had a VW Passat 1.8T and I guess he was feeling the pinch!) Has anyone else been asked about LPG as they filled up - if so was it recently?

Hi Eric - welcome to what I think is the most friendly VW club! :D As many of the people here would say ... oil is cheap ... another replacement engine aint! So whilst service internals officially are 6000 miles, I prefer to do an oil change every 3000. Motorway miles are more demanding on the oil b...

You can get them from VW Spares department - small ones are 1.5 mm and the larger ones 4mm if I recall correctly. VW sell them with a short length of wire attached so easy to fit. As for part numbers... well they are general spares not just T25 specific so you'll need to get the VW Parts person to s...

improving light spread from LED lights
I came across this guy who has tested the ideas to disperse LED light - filing off the top was not as good as frosting them!!
read all about it here: http://gotwind.org/led_experiments.htm
Worth a try I think!

I managed to re-fit one on the driver's side - I bought new ones from VW - by carefully grabbing the water pipe with a set of pliers , I managed to pull off the old one and fit a new one without the pipe disappearing behind the crash panel! As Mocki says! 8) It can be fiddly though ... of co...

Apparently the carb was not set correctly and too much fuel was getting in to the cylinders. This in turn was washing the oil from the sleeve wall's and preventing the rings from correctly bedding in. Despite me covering nearly 4k the rings still had a very sharp edge to them and the barrels were su...

It can be done .. my middle seat runs on rails and I have fitted it this way .. trouble is you lose access from the front if the front has 2 seats and a walkway through. Seatbelts will work on the rebound if you make sure the locking mechanism works when you yank the belt. My middle seat 3 point sea...

I Agree with Sid ... did that for mine .. also changed the sump seal and refilled this way BUT be very careful when adding oil .... If you over fill, the only way to get the oil out is to open the sump ... you have been warned .. add small amounts slowly and recheck after allowing the oil level to s...

Yes B pillars are available from VW for around £60 but the welding will set you back another £150+ so check carefully! It is close to the jacking point so needs to be strong for MOT and to use the jack safely. I presume you have read this too... http://wiki.80-90.co.uk/index.php/Main_Page#New.2FPros...
